1969 Ford Mustang Convertible

Current bid: US $14,004.00
Sells to: United States
Item location: Lucas, TX, United States

End time: Mar-09-08 21:35:19 PDT

Vehicle Description
90b6_1.JPG 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible. This car is basically a new car with an old body shell on it……well maybe not all the way, but what you have here is a classic body shape with all the right options that handles like a modern sports car and goes like stink.

The paint on this car is several years old, but still shines very well and only has minimal small rock chips up around the front. Don’t expect a perfect paint job, but know that you can be proud of this car wherever you drive it……and I do emphasize that you will want to drive it and not put it on a trailer. The paint scheme is Acapulco Blue with a Tungsten colored hood in the Mach 1 / Boss scheme. The hood scoop contains the turn signals and they do work. The interior is very nice and has all the components of a high-back deluxe setup including comfort-weave seats, deluxe door panels and a console with a Shelby style lid. The console contains Autometer Tachometer and Water Temperature instruments.

For Power, you’ve got a 408c.i. Keith Craft Stroker 351W that makes over 400 Rear Wheel Horsepower with no power adders. A fuel injection system with a Ford A9L computer makes it very easy starting and very reliable without the hassles of a carburetor/choke combination. One turn of the key in the coldest of weather and it comes to life. Other specs on the engine are: complete roller valvetrain, aluminum water pump, Victor Jr intake customized to handle the fuel injectors, Ford Powertrain Step Headers feeding into a 2 1/2″ exhaust system with electrically operated header dumps. Ron Morris motor mounts hold the engine in the proper position for a good pinion angle on a car that has been lowered substantially. The rear end in the car is a 9″ Ford with 31 Spline Mosier axles.

The engine is cooled by a Griffin aluminum radiator and twin electric fans operated by a thermostat. Vintage Auto Air handles the cooling of the passenger compartment and also provides a new heater box so whatever the temperature, you can stay comfortable inside.

Wheels (rest in peace Boyd) are custom offset F09 Boyd Coddington pieces and are 18 x 9 and 18 x 8 inchers. All of the rubber on this car is tucked up under the fenderwells and there is no rubbing whatsoever. I don’t think you will find a ‘69 Mustang with 285 rear and 245 front rubber that fits this nicely. The tires are Nitto and I have the street radials as well as a pair of Nitto drag radials for the back. Currently, the drag radials are mounted. With these, you have no trouble with this car hooking up.

Braking is handled exclusively by Baer Brakes. Massive 14″, 6 piston calipers in front and 13″ in the rear. Rear brakes incorporate a working parking brake system that is cable operated. This car has excellent braking capability and you won’t be disappointed that I spent a lot of money in this department.

The white convertible top is almost new and fits very well. The window glass in the car is excellent and I have spent many hours trying to align them as best as possible. All of the window glass is the factory Ford a/c tinted variety.

The interior also features restored factory gauges and a Ford authorized remanufactured dash pad. A Grant real wood wheel with Mustang center is mounted on the car, and I do have a deluxe rim-blow wheel that can be included if my reserve price is met.

The stereo in this car is fantastic. I started out by putting DynaMat throughout the entire shell of the car to seal out road noise and create a basis for the stereo. A head unit that is also capable of not only playing your ipod, but charging it and controlling it through the remote control is tastefully built into the stock dash area. It plays CD’s, MP3’s etc as well. Speakers are all Focal and there are 2 front door, 2 rear seat area and 2 subs. There are 2 JL Audio amps in the trunk that make the stereo clear and loud enough to hear even at speed with the top down.

Stam-bar front and rear sway bars help keep the car flat around the corners along with the big tires and the suspension is lowered by relocating the front control arms, progressive rate front springs and reverse eye rear leaf springs. The battery is relocated to the trunk and sits in a Taylor box with remote cut-off. The steering is handled by an RRS (Australian) rack-and-pinion unit.

I could go on and on and on over the things that are included with this car, but you’ll get tired of reading about it. If you are truly interested in this car, I will be happy to provide you with a phone number and we can discuss it over the phone. This car was built to drive and enjoy and not to just sit in the garage.

The things about the car that I feel I must mention that are less than perfect are:

1) there are some small rock chips in the paint on the front apron and behind the rear tires. Nothing big.

2) the rear main seal leaks a bit and has since the engine was new. The engine does not burn any oil and is very solid.

3) the stereo subwoofer box in the trunk could look better if you simply took it out and put new carpet covering on it.

I am realistic in my pricing on this Mustang and I am aware that the market has softened this past year. If you compare this car to one of the cars that was built by that now defunct company, you will be able to own a faster, better handling car for a fraction of their price. If you want to make a run at a buy-it-now on the car, please contact me and if we make a deal, I’ll put one on the auction and you can push the button.

I can assist in any way with shipping and I have worked with a shipper that I really trust to take care of a car. I use them to transport motorcycles all the time and they do a great job.

I’ve included several photos of the car in this listing, but you can click on this link to see more: http://www.marblesmotors.com/Stang69.htm

Contact me via e-mail for more information. Thanks for looking, bidding and buying. Please don’t wait to bid on this car as it just isn’t any fun that way.

Thanks

Randy

1968 Ford Mustang Coupe

Starting bid: US $200.00
Sells to: United States
Item location: Independence, KS, United States

End time: Mar-05-08 17:54:55 PST

Vehicle Description

7794_1.JPGI have lowered my reserve price to $2,650. I really need to move this vehicle so serious bidders only please.

For sale is a 1968 Mustang Coupe. I’ve started the restoration but no longer have sufficient time to finish due to my work load. I’ve replaced all the floor pans, replaced front and rear torque boxes, I have new cowl vent patch panels in place, they just need welded in.

I have many new parts to go with the car that haven’t been installed yet, new radiator core support and cross member, new front right fender apron, new battery tray kit, new front right frame rail section. The reason for these new parts is due to rust in the front right section of the car, from where battery acid leaked and ate the paint off. The rust isn’t that bad, but still warrants replacement parts. Other sections that need replaced are the rear quarter panels where they meet the trunk floor drop offs. I have the new parts for this section as well.

I was going to replace the front fenders due to some damage where they meet the front valence, an experienced body man could fix them. The hood is fine, just needs restored. The deck lid is dented in a little, but once again an experienced body man can fix it. Over all this car is in good shape from what I’ve seen. That is about the extent of the rust.

The current condition of the car is a rolling chassis and is stripped down. The car has the climate controls for AC, but it didn’t come with the compressor or anything. The engine is a 289 V8 and runs just fine. The transmission is a C4 and needs rebuilt (slips from second to third). I have most all the parts for the complete car. It does need a front windshield, the rear one is OK. Both doors are OK and so is the glass. The drivers and passengers seat are in good shape, the rear seat needs redone. Will need new carpet.

If there are any other questions just e-mail me and I will be glad to talk to you about it.

Vehicle Description

df2b_12.JPGHi Folks. Up for bid, is this gorgeous 67 Mustang Convertible. We just spent about a year on a complete restoration. The pictures tell a pretty good story. Floors where replaced with factory correct material, rear quarter patches done professionally, and are flawless. The inner rockers like the rest of the rust was not horrible but replaced professionally so that this car need never see rust again. Almost every piece of chrome was replaced, and again the original chrome was not in bad shape, but just not good enough to go with the rest of the resto. This car was a great canvas to start with and is now picture purfect. The engine ran like a charm but I just couldn’t get one of the lifters to quit periodically ticking so I had the engine completely rebuilt (completely). The trans was rebuilt 700 miles ago and shifts as new. There are new springs, new shocks, new bushings. Front end gone through. New brakes, new power steering pump and lines, new gas tank. All new dash, with new wiring for the guages,(all work), New lenses for the guages. The enterior is new from all new paint to carpet, seats ,door panels etc. The exterior paint has two coats of clear and is show quality. It is also the original candy apple red. The engine and trans are also original to the car. It has all new rubber in the doors the trunk, etc. New felt for the windows. The top is 3 years old and in perfect shape, with the glass back window. The orignal carb was working real well before the rebuild and somehow didn’t want to work too well after. Mabey sitting around while the engine got rebuilt dried up some gaskets, I don’t know. But rather than rebuild it we put a 500 cfi Holley two barrel, that bolted right on to the original intake with electric choke and this baby purrs, and I can tell it has alot more zip, but being a new engine I can’t get on it for 500 hundred miles. As I’m writing this the engine has about 7 or 8 miles on it. So the new owner gets to brake it in. The original carb comes with the car.The rocker trim under the doors is not on although I have the brand new pieces ready to go. I’m holding off a little because some people like these cars without the trim. Its only about a half an hour job. So whoever gets the car can let me know how they want it, and that’s how they’ll get it. I hate reading a darn book when your looking at some of these Ebay ads, so I’ll stop here. At least I didnt’t tell you why we named our dog Scruffy. All questions will be answered ASAP so don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking , and good luck bidding.

Vehicle Description

ed4b_12.JPG1984 Ford Mustang Notchback, Loaded and still like new

For auction is a 1984 Ford Mustang Coupe. This car is rare and is in almost perfect condition. I have had the car for 8 years and it has been only driven on weekends and to shows. The car has never been raced or driven hard. It has 45,000 ORIGINAL miles on it and the doors open and close better than a new car. The paint is original except where I had the car blended to match the hood and I had a few door dings fixed when I first got it. Recently I had the front bumper patched where the license plate bracket holes were. I have all the original paperwork for the car as well as appraisals. The motor is a 5.0 Liter H.O. EFI. It has a rare original center fuel injection system that was not on most 84’s and is all original except for a few bolt-on upgrades. The mods to the motor include pulleys, air filter, shorty headers, ignition, electric fans, off-road H-Pipe, 2 1 /2″ MAC exhaust, etc. The suspension includes Steeda Lowering Springs, Subframe connectors, and some rear-end work. Interior is near perfect and all original except for the CD player and speakers. Exterior includes 17″ Cobra wheels and Z-Rated tires, Stormin Norman Hood, tinted glass, tail light black-outs, etc. There is many pictures availiable, however, serious inquiries only. No Joy rides either without money down. If you have it and want it, the drive will certainly not change your mind. I am very particular about this car and am in no hurry to sell it, I just never drive it anymore and it’s time I got id of it. There is much more to go with this ad so call me any evening at 270-362-9629 or 270-519-8277. Leave me a message and I’ll get back to you. My email is toughyyj@yahoo.com. I will consider interesting trades or equal or greater value and thanks for looking. The cars reserve is $9250.00
