1972 Mustang Mach I Fastback

This Mustang I picked up with plans of restoring it and making a killer pro touring type car since you do not see many of these done yet. As you can see it was last plated in California. The interior has some problems as most of the dash has been jacked around and is broke or missing. The rear seat is there but in poor shape. the front has the two bucket seats and the door panels are in poor shape also.

The 400 engine does run and the tranny works as these items were the place the guy i bought it from had started. It is an AC car, not sure if it works or not. The trunk has been sprayed with undercoating, not sure what is under it. Quarters look like they are the original ones along with the doors and front fenders. No real rust anywhere I can see.

The Paint is not that old, but I would think it needs more than a buff job to make it look real good. Please remember this car will need lots of work to make it a nice driver. Make it a Pro Touring G-machine or just a good daily driver.

You are bidding on a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. Numbers match on Build Tag, Data Plate and Title. It was a factory A/C car but since has been removed by the previous owner. It has power steering, power front disc brakes, 4 new shocks, Pertronix electronic ignition system, Flamethrower coil, aftermarket radio, new dual exhaust system, tinted glass and FMX automatic transmission. The tires & rims are in very good condition. The 351 V8 engine starts & runs very good with no known issues. A lot of the interior is new, like carpet, headliner and back sail panels and more….. This is a good driver.

THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO BUILD YOUR OWN 428 COBRA JET MACH 1 MUSTANG

A Black on Black Stalion ! One of the most desirable color combinations if you want a truly elegant “R” Code (Shaker Hood Scoop) Mach 1. Originally came with a C-6 Automatic transmission, and 3.50 axle ratio, plus its 4 bbl 428 big block engine this Mach 1 was for serious drivers only.

It will need some work to come to life, but the Black on Black combo will look sharp when finished. When properly restored, this Black Beautiful Mustang will be worth the effort. Black Clarion Knit/Vinyl High Back Bucket Seats, and AM Radio make this a low option Mach 1 which is ready for anything you want to add. You might want to add disk brakes all around, just to stop this steed, especially, if you are going to race the car. There is minor rust work needed around the rear quarters. The hood is useable with a little body work and front fenders look good, as does the deck lid. Plan on the normal interior redo, but the seats are there for good cores. The car has the original quarter panels. The floors are the originals with the correct ribbing configuration. Doors and fenders also look original. The vin number is stamped on the shock towers, the vin tag is in the dash, and the door has its vin plate as well. Has the Rim Blow steering wheel [good for a core]. The front windshield and back glass are missing, but the rest of the glass is in good condition. Trimmed out and restored, this Black on Black Cobra Jet Mach 1 would be a beautiful classic to drive.
